COASTAL SAFARIS
Meet the Crew
Coastal Safari’s is a hunting and fishing guide service based out of Wilmington, North Carolina. We are dedicated to making sure our clients have a safe and successful trip. We are highly focused on inshore fishing but also spend a lot of time off shore. From skinny water light tackle to big game offshore, we have you covered. Our local fishing trips take place on the Cape Fear Coast from Topsail Island to Bald Head Island. We also offer destination trips like Weldon, North Carolina for Stripe Bass fishing and Louisiana Red Drum fishing.
Our guide service provides anglers the opportunity to explore the parts of the coast that most people don't know exist. If you’re on vacation in Topsail Beach, Figure Eight, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Bald Head or Southport, NC and need to add some adventure to your stay please contact us.
In addition to fishing we also offer black bear & turkey hunts. Most of these guided hunts will be on our properties in Hyde County near Engelhard, North Carolina. If you have never done a spot and stalk hunt on a 500 pound bear, I highly recommend you try it.
Whether you book a hunt or a fishing trip with us we will make sure you have a safe, successful and exciting trip.

Caleb Hofer
Captain & Guide
Captain Caleb has lived in Wilmington since 2014 when he began attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Caleb began his guiding career during the summer of his sophomore year at Bald Head Island as a kayak fishing guide. This experience sparked his passion for helping others experience success in the outdoors and would lead to him guiding in Alaska the next summer. Upon returning from Alaska, Caleb then began guiding in Eastern North Carolina for waterfowl, quail and Turkeys for the remainder of college. Upon graduation, Caleb started Coastal Safari's with Robert with the shared mission of helping others catch fish and educating them on the importance of conservation.
